Devin arrived a few days ago. We, girls are so glad to have him here with us now. He and I got to have a date for breakfast right after he got off the plane. Nevi was having a sleepover with her cousins...and my brother, Will had all the kids while we enjoyed a Portland moment at the J&M cafe.....an old favorite spot for me and Devin!
Then after breakfast we went to pick up Nevi at Will & Krista's.....this is what the children did when they saw D for the first time....after a long hug with all three children- he hit the ground and they climbed on board! yeah...Uncle Devin is home!
Then we all went to the park down our street for some fresh air, sunshine, playtime....and of course some snuggles for Papa and Nevi!
Our family will be living in Johor Bahru, Malaysia for at least a year ...keep track of us as we journal our adventures and daily experiences.

Girls Night Out
Martinis, fabulous food at Lauro, desserts at a local joint, and the best friends a girl could ask for~ one of my goals for this trip was to infuse myself with my people. I know about myself that I love being connected...I love my friends...I love community...I love relationship....and wow, I am so blessed with so many people that I adore. this night was so fun for me...to have friends who want to know about our life in Malaysia...who want to laugh....and drink....and eat! Such fun! Thank you Dawn, Karin and Karin!
An outing with Tia & Stella
Spring is lovely...the lilac trees are blooming and the weather is in the high 60's. Pure delight for us tropical folk. So Heather, Stella, Nevi and I went for a walk around the hood...enjoyed some coffee and treats at a local hang out...and soaked in all the love we could~

Genevieve was so lucky and got to go back to her old gymnastics class with Logan for one class. This trip is so good for Nevi and yet I think we might have to deal with some sorrow about leaving home again. But still worth every moment and every opportunity!

Best Friends
Oh what fun it is for Genevieve to re-unite with her dear friends. We were so lucky to spend the day with Dawn and Logan. It was as thought Nevi and Logan had never really been apart...even though we all know we have been apart. We played at the park, we went ice skating and we had a lovely dinner at the Murai/Wong home! What bliss for us all.
