Shelly Beach

Our next stop was a place called Shelly Beach. Turns out this was my favorite place of the whole trip. We found out about it because we heard there was hang gliding and paragliding there. What we did not know was that it would be the most beautiful, quiet, secluded place to camp. We stayed for two nights...and the camping was free!
We met a lovely family who was from the Area but living in Ghanna- just here on holiday. The children played with Nevi...and Wayne, the Dad let Devin fly his hang glider. Such a HUGE treat for D.

We also met a special man named Bill. He is an older chap. Originally from Hungry, but living in Aussie since the 70's. He just lives out of his land cruiser. He travels about to different spots during different times of the year. He is one of those people you meet who has a story for everything, his knowledge is unbelievable and he imprints on your heart. He charges his battery with solar power, he does not eat much food, but drinks hot chocolate for energy, he reads and reads and reads....he taught Nevi to catch frogs at night...he was a true wonder. made this stop even more special just to have met him.
