Evening Stroll in Penang

This lovely man was making and selling massage hooks. He was well spoken and funny. below is a picture of his moving shop. All toys and fun things for children it seemed. Nothing like being able to bring your goods with you wherever you might be!

I love watching families walk together- in Penang in the area where we were staying there is this nice walkway along the water. Such great people watching! Penang is much more international than JB- I love witnessing the blend of traditional, local, European, Saudi Arabian, American, SE Asian...on and on.
In Penang you see many more women dressed in the complete Burqa. I find these women beautiful, graceful, and mysterious....so is that the point more than religious dedication? On this trip, every woman in a burqa i saw was holding hands with her husband walking about...shopping. I think Malaysia might be a tad bit less expensive than Saudi! Then in the airport on the way home, I saw so many families with bags and bags ....so many reasons to come to Penang!
