storm brewin

Storms come fast around here. First a breeze picks up- hot air usually...then it gets dark...then the lightening bolts and some huge cracks of thunder that often send me leaping. Then after a build up comes rain. Sometimes ferocious rain...sometimes not enough rain. Last night about 7pm this storm rolled in...it was not as much about water as energy. When I stood on the back deck, the hair on my arms stood up- static I guess. I love how dramatic the sky can be. We stood outside a bit cause the wind was blowin. Devin and I both thought perhaps the coolest wind we have felt in a year of living here. Devin put our clock outside which has a temp gauge....oh still 85...but seriously the wind felt cool in comparison to the humidity of most days. I will miss the storms here. But mostly how quickly they come and how quickly they go.
