Barbie for Birthday

All Nevi specifically asked for for her birthday was a Barbie. Devin and I were floored. We had not really expected Barbie to enter our family. But here in Malaysia- Barbie is EVERYWHERE. Every street vendor has something for kids with Barbie on it...every mall covered in Barbie garb. So, here we are in a new culture, new place and we are doing all we can to help Nevi feel happy and have things to occupy her. So guess what not only did she get one Barbie- she got 2! Cause I grew up with Barbies and there is no point in having 1...they need to talk and dress up together. So here is a picture of the joy- Devin and I can let go of our thoughts of the misrepresentation of "real" women...for that smile. Perhaps by the time we come back to the US- she will be through this stage, and we can leave Barbie here:)
